Sons of Anarchy Season Premiere 'Black Widower'

This episode, Black Widower, Jax beats up an inmate in county lock up in light of his wife's death, whilst Nero catches up with Marcus Alvarez the leader of a rival gang named the Mayans and his mum Gemma takes care of his children at home.

By this part of the TV series tensions are brewing and the various storylines surrounding SAMCRO are starting to piece together in the beginning of the last season. As seen at the end of the last season Jax’s wife is murdered by his mother only to be covered up by the club snitch Juice. 

The episode begins with Jax beating up a neo-nazi prison inmate who had recently snitched on him to the guards. Jay carves out a Swastika on his forehead and takes out his two front teeth in retaliation. Following this, Jax approaches the nazi gang leader in the prison to discuss outside relations to tackle ‘brown’ and ‘yellow’ gangs of threat to SAMCRO, respectively the Mayan and Triad gangs. He is then greeted by his mother and district attorney Tyne Patterson to discuss the murder of his wife, to which he is silent and sheds no insight or remorse to the DA because ultimately he is in lock up for her sake.

Later in the episode, retired county sheriff Wayne Unser goes to pick up Jax’s ex girlfriend Wendy from rehab. She is dropped off at her home which had been used by SAMCRO as a safe house. To her surprise she is greeted by Juice (the club snitch) doing push ups in the living room. Wendy warns him that Jax will kill him however, wendy makes a compromise and allows Juice to stay at hers with her.

Jax is then released from county lock up and Gemma drives him home. His first Priority is to find the person responsible for the murder of his wife and take the law into his own hands. After interrogating all rival clubs he is tipped off by one of the triads and he proceeds to torture one of them to find answers. However, he takes out his anger and frustrations and kills the man by jamming a fork deep into his throat.
