Suits Season 7 Episode 13 'Inevitable'
It was inevitable ... In this episode, relationships end, Louis and Sheila continue with the affair and Louis embraces his 'bad boy' side, Mike and Rachel talk and fight about their future, and Donna is still getting in the way between Harvey and Paula as expected.

Dinner with Harvey's Mother and Paula...
As the episode before ended with Harvey and Paula making up, they decide to have a nice dinner date just the two of them, however, Harvey gets a call from his mother that she's in town and she wants to have dinner. Harvey not being able to say no, asking Paula, decides to have a dinner with both of them. The dinner starts out well with laughter and fond memories, but then Lily, Harvey's mother, accidentally ruins it, where on her way out leaving, Lily thanks Paula for being the reason her and Harvey reconnected since Harvey told her that someone important in his life pushed him to do it, but when he told his mother that, he wasn't talking about Paula. When Paula realises Harvey was talking about Donna, her face drops and the night ends on a very awkward note. Paula fears that their relationship won't survive if Donna is still in the picture, with the only solution being to fire her.

Teddy Doyle...
Harvey's old client, Teddy, asks for his help with his former employees as they will lose their jobs if the current owner of the company, Kurt, sells the business overseas as he plans. Harvey agrees as he is a long time old client and a friend, however Kurt doesn't care and he wants to sell the company, which then leads Harvey to work himself into murky waters with Stu, shorting the company's stock to drive the sale price down, thinking that would teach Kurt a lesson. But Kurt stands his ground, with Harvey thinking there's nothing he can do, until he realises that they can raise the capital for Teddy to buy the company himself by offering the employees equity, saving the day.

Bad Boy Goes Quiet...
As Louis embraces his bad boy persona, constantly role playing with Sheila and continuing the affair, the chemistry is as good as it can be. Louis even tells Rachel that he feels like a King! Unfortunately he runs into Sheila's fiance, Xander, when Louis was going to Sheila as part of the role play planned from the morning before. With the awkward encounter, Louis leaves and overhears how much Xander is talking smack, and Louis seems to go quiet.

Mike and Rachel's Future...
Mike and Rachel are scheduled to meet Father Walker for wedding prep, and before the prep, Mike and Rachel both have to fill out a pre-wedding questionnaire, however, Mike does not do it and is causes friction between him and Rachel. It causes Rachel to fear things since Mike doesn't seem to want to look at the future because of his failure to fill out the questionnaire, but Father Walker later helps them console because he says that the people who fill it out and have the same answers don't last and those who are honest do, and that is why Mike and Rachel will last and it will be a good marriage.

Harvey's Way of Doing Things...
With Paula giving him an ultimatum of firing Donna, instead of straight up talking to Donna about it, he swerves her by getting Stu to offer Donna a job, but Donna soon sniffs out the truth of the situation and thus not happy at all. Harvey doesn't seem to be able to attack all this head on. Donna does the only thing she can think of is to fight for her job and see Paula to see if she can retract what she's making Harvey do, and everything Donna says moves Paula, but she doesn't change her mind because she knows Donna still has unresolved feelings for Harvey.

The Letter of Resignation, or Not...
Ending the meeting with Paula, Donna sees no other choice but to leave the firm by leaving her office with her resignation on her desk, not being able bear the burden of making Harvey fire her. Harvey sees the letter and later goes to see Paula to tell her that Donna left the firm, Paula was satisfied, and apologises to Harvey for making him do that. Harvey says that it was him that did it, but is now choosing to undo it, ultimately choosing Donna over Paula, and Paula about to drop to tears, Harvey says his goodbyes and tells her he hopes she meets someone that deserves her. Harvey goes straight to Donna's apartment at a very late time of the night, and rips the resignation letter in front of her, telling her him and Paula are finished. Donna asks if he's okay, and Harvey replies with as long as she's coming back to the firm, then he's okay.
