SONS OF ANARCHY

Sons of Anarchy follows Jax Teller, vice-president of a motorcycle club and his life within the club. 


Set in the fictional city of Charming, Sons of Anarchy features themes of brotherhood and loyalty as the members face tough situations. Based roughly around the story of Shakespeare's 'Hamlet', this show gained traction in the US and aired 7 seasons. For those who haven't seen Sons of Anarchy, here's a quick introduction to some of the main characters.

Jax Teller - The protagonist of the series and vice-president of the SAMCRO (Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original). Professionally, Teller is a mechanic at the Teller-Morrow Automotive Repair shop owned by his stepfather Clay, also a member of SAMCRO. Jax has served time in jail for smuggling and gun-running but nevertheless he's also a devoted father to his two sons, Abel and Thomas.

Gemma Teller Morrow - Jax Teller's mum, the widow of John Teller and the current wife of Clay Morrow. The matriarch of SAMCRO, Gemma is well-respected yet she's known for being manipulative -with Machiavellian motives similar to Hamlet's mother Gertrude. She is fiercely loyal to SAMCRO and protective of her son and grandson, Abel.

Bobby Munson - Former vice-president of SAMCRO, Bobby Munson is unusually intelligent though violent when SAMCRO and its members are at risk. His calmness means he is the 'peacekeeper' of Sons of Anarchy members.

Alexander 'Tig' Trager - The most loyal member of SAMCRO but undeniably the most violent member of the gang. Tig has not always gotten along well with Jax but will do anything to protect the gang. With some strange phobias and fetishes, Tig Trager is a disturbed character yet somewhat sensitive when it comes to women, children and animals.

Clay Morrow - Jax' stepfather and Gemma's husband, Clay represents the 'Claudius' figure in the Hamlet illusion. Though he appears to have the greater good in mind, by keeping drug dealers and rapists out of Charming, it is revealed that Clay is far more selfish and greedy than he appears. Along with Gemma, he is the series' main antagonist.
